The University of Bristol is offering a range of postgraduate scholarships for students looking to further their education in the UK. Below, we have highlighted eight scholarships available to international students starting a master’s program in September 2023.

Think Big Postgraduate Awards

The Think Big Postgraduate Awards is a highly regarded scholarship for international students. Awards are valued at £6,500, £13,000, and £26,000 per year and can only be used towards tuition fees. In addition, applicants may be eligible to receive a £3,000 living cost bursary for their first year of study.

Eligibility:

  • International students for fee purposes
  • Applying to start a one-year, full-time master’s program, or one of the eligible two-year programs (Social Work [MSc] and Law [MA]) starting in September 2023.

Global Economics Postgraduate Scholarships

This scholarship provides funding towards tuition fees for international postgraduate students studying economics. Two scholarships of £13,000 per year and fifteen scholarships of £6,500 per year are available for use towards tuition fees for a one-year master’s program in the School of Economics.

Eligibility:

  • International students for fee purposes
  • Applying to start one of the following qualifying courses in September 2023:
  • MSc Economics
  • MSc Economics, Finance, and Management
  • MSc Economics and Finance
  • MRes Economics

Global Accounting and Finance Postgraduate Scholarships

This scholarship provides funding towards tuition fees for international postgraduate students studying accounting and finance. Four scholarships of £13,000 and eight scholarships of £6,500 per year are available for use towards tuition fees for a one-year accounting and finance-related master’s program in the Business School.

Eligibility:

  • International students for fee purposes
  • Applying to start one of the following qualifying accounting and finance MSc programs in September 2023:
  • MSc Accounting and Finance
  • MSc Accounting, Finance, and Management
  • MSc Banking, Regulation, and Financial Stability
  • MSc Finance and Investment

Future Leaders Postgraduate Scholarships

This scholarship provides funding for international postgraduate students who are studying management programs. Four scholarships worth £13,000 and eight scholarships worth £6,500 per year are available to be used towards tuition fees for a one-year master’s program in the School of Management.

Eligible applicants must have;

  • Applied to start one of the specified MSc programs in management and be considered an overseas student for fee purposes.

Michael Wong Pakshong Bursary

This bursary provides funding for living costs for an international student studying a postgraduate taught program in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.

The bursary worth £3,000 is available for eligible applicants who are considered overseas students for fee purposes and have applied to start a full-time one-year master’s program in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law in September 2023.

Think Big About Global Justice Postgraduate Scholarships

This scholarship provides funding for international postgraduate students who are studying law. One scholarship worth £6,500 and one scholarship worth £13,000 is available to be used towards tuition fees for an LLM qualification.

Eligible applicants must have applied to start an LLM course in September 2023 and be considered an overseas student for fee purposes.

This scholarship provides funding for international postgraduate students who are studying education. Four scholarships worth £6,500 are available to be used towards tuition fees for a one-year master’s program in the School of Education.

Eligible applicants must have applied to start one of the specified MSc education programs and be considered an overseas student for fee purposes.

The “Think Big About Innovation Scholarships” (GREAT India Scholarships)

This provides funding for one Indian postgraduate student towards their tuition fees. This scholarship is a partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign and offers £10,000 for eligible Indian applicants towards tuition fees.

To be eligible, you must be an Indian student, applying for a qualifying master’s program in the School of Education, Law, or Management related programs in September 2023 and classified as an overseas student for fee purposes.
